Friday's Story

THE GIRL WHO WENT INTO WAR
Chapter Five
„ Hey, El! How did you sleep, do you want anything to eat?“ asked Luke when I had finally found them from the dinner coupe. They had huge piles of food on their plates and they looked fairly funny while trying not to drop their food, hold balance and talk to me.

I busted out laughing, „ No, you already brought me food, don't you remember?“

„ No, actually I do not remember, “ he crumpled his face a bit, „ did you bring El some food, Nate?“

„ No, I did not,“ said Nate quietly and looked at his food pile. Can one boy be even more shy than him, I asked myself.

„ Hmm, that is quirky, I can swear that I ate a muffin that was on the table in our coupe and I even drank the milk! This is so weird.“ I shook my head and was truly confused.  Since the day I decided to go into the army some weird stuff has happened to me. First the stalking cat, now this- very peculiar.
When boys had finished off their food we made our way back to our coupe.

„ So, what now? We have to spend two more days on this train. How are we going to spend our time “

„ Well, I saw some Fuges in the opened coupe. Maybe we could deal with them?“ suggested Nate.

Fuges. Those little purple, shiny bugs to who you can actually teach how to sing. I had never seen any of them, so I agreed immediately, „ Yes! Of course we can play with them. I have always wanted to teach them how to sing“

F U G E S ! ! ! ! !

THE GIRL WHO WENT INTO WAR

Chapter Four

„ So, let's meet properly,“ I smiled, „ my name is Ellen, El for short.“

The boy with the eyes like emeralds turned his head slightly to the side, grinned and said:

„Nice to meet you, El. My name is Luke. Just Luke. And this guy here,“ he poked the boy against us but before he could end his sentence his friend said modestly:

„ I am Nate, nice to meet you, Ellen.“

I smiled in my thoughts. I guess i have two new friends now and I hope that we can be friends for a long time. I don't have much of a clue about what is going to happen when we arrive at the military centre.
So we sat there, talked and stared out of the window. It was funny how these two boys could make you feel so weightless and careless just by being there, next to you. Even if I had some worry thoughts they were buried deep in my consciousness. Resting to awake when least expected.
I was tired and I just couldn't keep my eyes opened so at one moment my head just nestled against my chest and I was asleep.
The journey to the Military centre was long. We had to cross the mountains and the Lake Lands. The train was supposed to get to our destination in three days.
When I woke up, I was all alone in the coupe. Luke and Nate were gone, but somebody had put a small blanket on me so I could have not dreamed about meeting them. I yawned and looked at the tiny wooden table that was standing under the window. I noticed a big chocolate muffin and a glass of milk. How nice of them to bring me some food. I was so hungry that i practically ate the whole muffin with two bites and the milk- it was still cold- was gone in the matter of seconds. When I was finished I rose up to find the boys.

Struck by an Idea

Today in Literature we talked about renaissance writers and while we were talking about Shakespeare I was struck by an amazing idea:
What if Shakespeare isn't really dead? Maybe he is immortal?
Really , like, think about it. He dies on the same day he was born- 23.April. It is pretty dramatic, don't you think? x)
And then there is a curse engraved on his grave against moving his bones:

Good frend for Iesvs sake forbeare,
To digg the dvst encloased heare.
Bleste be ye man yt spares thes stones,
And cvrst be he yt moves my bones.

(Good friend, for Jesus' sake forbear, | To dig the dust enclosed here. | Blessed be the man that spares these stones, | And cursed be he that moves my bones.)

To the present day no one has had the guts or will to open his grave. So here comes my point- maybe Shakespeare wanted people to think that he is dead ( it is kind of obvious actually, because people would have definitely noticed if he lived too old, without actually getting any older).
So, maybe he pretended his death like Juliet in " Romeo and Juliet" and then somehow escaped and hid somewhere until it was safe for him to walk around without anyone recognising him. Maybe he is still writing but under another name. Maybe he is a famous writer or maybe he isn't that famous at all. He was/is a smart and talented man so I think he has worked everything out, so he doesn't have to worry about a thing. Maybe he still even visits his grave, who knows?
I think, that he replaced his body with somebody elses corpse, so when someone actually happened to dig up his grave, they would find a skeleton and that means they would probably have no reason to even think, that it is not Shakespeare himself.

So Shakespeare, if you truly are immortal, I would really, really, really like to meet you =)

Friday's Story

THE GIRL WHO WENT INTO WAR

Chapter Three

The train was almost empty. Besides me there were only two persons in the coupe. They were both wearing army uniforms and they had big green bags next to them. They were talking to each other quietly. I bought a ticket from the train ticket clerk and then just stood in the middle of the passageway, loosely holding my bag. I had no idea what to do so I just crashed on the seat next to the soldiers and asked a rather stupid question: „ Are you going to war?“.

„ No, we are just dressed up for a carnival,“ said one of the boys ironically.

„ Haha, very funny,“ i responded with a smirk. „ Do you mind, if I join you?“

„ No, not at all. Besides, you are already sitting here“.

„So... You are going to war then? Me too.“ I started a conversation.

„ You are? Wow, really?!“ asked boys with one voice.

„ Really,“ I smiled. „ What, are you like brothers or something?“

„ Almost,“ laughed the boy who was sitting against me. „ We are best buddies.“

I smiled and looked at both of them. Their hair was medium length and a bit spiky. They honestly did look like brothers. The boy who was sitting against me had dimples and when he smiled it seemed to me like his entire face started glowing. His eyes were dark blue and they had that spark in them, that only people who are always positive have. There was no worry in his stance.

The boy next to me had a bit pointy chin and high cheekbones, his eyes were emerald green and very kind. His stance was also careless and free.

It seemed like they had no worries about what is going to come. It was like they were not going to war but they actually were going to a carnival.

Happy

I am Happy, Fantastic, amazing, great, OK.
I am back at school, my health is better than ever, spring is almost here( tecnically it is already here, but it started snowing again x) and I got myself something I have wanted for a long time.
The Graphics Tablet.
I am literally in love with it. It is Fantastic! I think i could draw with it all day long if i just had the chance :D
I am bursting with joy and sometimes I have no idea why exactly am I so happy. I jump around mumbling about positivity so much, that it starts to annoy my sister. But I just can't be no other way- I am like a happy go lucky bouncing ball :D

Take care and don't forget to be awesome! (and smile=)
