The land of fire and ice.
Finally we met and I could not resist you. I fell for you. You put your spell on me and now I am everlastingly trapped inside your magic.
Yes. This is Iceland and this is what it does with you. It catches you like a butterfly from the sky and holds you in it's arms without ever letting go. Ever. But you really don't want to leave it either.
The emptiness it creates inside you is like running away from everything bad you know. And all you can feel is blissfulness.
| Big and small, hand to hand rule that land of rocks. |
Then I saw it from the sky. Gorgeous.
And then I looked at it when I was leaving the Keflavik airport. Empty. I must admit, that at first I was a bit disapointed. There was nothing there! But as we slowly drifted away with our bus towards Reykjavik I was hooked. There was nothing but lava, lava rocks and moss and that was what got me. An entirely different environment. A different paradise. A dangerous paradise and a quite windy one I must say. =)
I was finally there. The land of the Vikings.
Great Blog Mari, you are the genius with detail, im glad you had fun :D :D
ReplyDeleteThanks a bunch, Phil! :P Your words are kind =) I had so much fun :D
DeleteHi Mariliis, I am so jealous of you, that you have already been to Iceland, and many other countries. Your school must be great, if such journeys are organized. I think you were be able to get there by school organization, but im sorry if i made a mistake. Our school never organized like this. :P
ReplyDeleteAnyway it must have been so amazing, and beautiful, and maybe unbelievable to be there at the same time.
Greetings from Hungary
Jeff
